Speaker Biography

David L. Perkins, Jr. -- a former commercial lender and commercial real estate broker -- is an award-winning author, publisher, investor, business owner, business broker, and merger and acquisitions consultant. He holds a degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma, a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, and an executive education certificate in mergers and acquisitions from The Wharton School of Business. He has completed specialized coursework on the valuation of small and mid-size private companies, consulted on hundreds of business purchase and sale transactions, and has purchased multiple businesses for his own account. David has written several books, including A Concise Overview of Business Valuation, which is available for purchase on Amazon. From 2001 to 2013, Mr. Perkins wrote a subscription-based hard-copy newsletter titled The Business Owner Journal, which provided information and advice to owners of private companies. It was private labeled by commercial banks and trade associations around the country and received various awards and recognition. Paid readership of around 30,000 prior to being sold by Perkins.

 

David Perkins has considerable knowledge and experience in the purchase, sale, and valuation of companies and is an energetic and entertaining speaker.
